I work with people who feel sluggish and are sick often. Raindrop helps them to reduce toxins in their body so that they have energy again. This technique may support the body in reducing pain, easing stress, improving circulation, shielding from germs, improving immune function, and improving focus and concentration.
Raindrop Technique is a sequence of anointing with oils and laying on of hands that brings structural and electrical alignment to the body in a relaxing and invigorating manner through the power of essential oils. There are many versions of Raindrop Technique, but the same oils are applied traditionally, though not always in the same sequence. Most of the Raindrop oils are high in phenolic content to ward off potentially damaging viruses and bacteria while cleansing cellular receptor sites to enhance inter– and intra–cellular communication and improve overall bodily function. Some Raindrop oils contain a variety of monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes to assist in deleting misinformation in the DNA and in reprogramming correct information in cellular memory to restore and maintain physical and emotional wellness.
The technique is called “raindrop” because essential oils are dropped neat (undiluted) on the back along the spine from a height of about 6”. The purpose is to simulate rain drops gently falling on the skin of the back. The theory is that the oils, which are said to possess electromagnetic properties, are allowed to fall through the electromagnetic field of the receiver before touching the skin. Thus, the oils are thought to interact with the receiver’s electric fields in a possibly beneficial way before being absorbed by the body through the skin. Traditional Raindrop Oils, Ancient Oils, or a Specialty Blend can be used for your Raindrop Session.
The maladies of the body and mind are in layers. During any given Raindrop session, only those layers the client is ready and willing to release will be released - both physical and emotional. Negative experiences are often our greatest teachers. That is the reason we sometimes hold on to them - because we still have something to learn from them. Both facilitator and client are encouraged to engage in Raindrop with an attitude of prayer, acknowledging our Creator as the source of all health and well-being and seeking His guidance at all times. I lovingly and willingly release that which no longer serves me in a positive and progressive way.
What To Expect
The appointment lasts 60-90 minutes, which includes some prep conversation. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes. If you get cold easily, what has worked for others is to wear a zipper-hoodie or button-down shirt backwards. This allows your back to be bare for the Raindrop, but keeps your arms from getting cold.
During the Raindrop session, I'll apply essential oils to your bare shoulders, then bare feet, and then bare back (coccyx to atlas). You might have detox symptoms that night or next day (tired) so it's a good idea to drink lots of water before and after the session. The recommended amount is to divide your weight in pounds by two and drink that number of ounces of purified water every day.
Many of my clients have shared that they are very relaxed the rest of the day and have a great night's sleep.
According to A Statistical Validation of Raindrop Technique by David Steward, Ph.D., RA, here are the percentages found in the following seven categories of responses: Positive 97% * Pleasant 98% * Resulted in a Healing 16% * Felt better afterwards 98% * State of health improved 89% * Emotional state improved 86% * Would receive it again 99.9% *
Among those receiving Raindrop in A Statistical Validation of Raindrop Technique, the most frequently reported negative results of applying undiluted oils was a burning sensation on the skin, skin rashes, nausea, headaches, and tiredness. Among the outcomes of thousands of raindrop sessions included in the report, no negative experiences more severe than these five items was reported. Not one case of an allergic reaction was discovered by this study even through an honest effort was made to find and report such reactions if they existed. Please see Detoxification for additional information.

Young Living Essential Oils - Chakra Harmony Oils used in the Raindrop Session
Chakras are energy centers found along the midline of the body, extending through the torso both in the front and back. The 1st chakra, or root, is located around the tailbone and the 7th chakra, or crown, at the top of the head, with the rest in between. Emotions are projected and received via the energy transmitted through the chakras. Clearing all the chakras with oils is a great way to align your energy field or to recap and unwind before retiring for the night.
